Chinese in New Zealand
Today Meng Foon the Mayor of Gisborne came to our class,to tell us history of the early settlers, and how he became Mayor.
While he was telling us his story he also talked about how he came to Gisborne and his story of his childhood.
My favourite part of his story was when he talked about Te Ha and the 250th year anniversary.

Multiculturalism
Why Multiculturalism is important?
I believe that multiculturalism is important to New Zealand because it’s a life skill,to understand other cultures in the world.
If there was only one country in the world then everything would be the same, and everyone wouldn’t be able to travel or visit new places in the world.
I also believe that multiculturalism is about accepting other people in your country or life style,it can also help you understand their language, life skill and their way of doing things.
It can also help you understand other people’s meanings, meeting new people in different places of the world.
My message is making new friends around the world, accepting their ways and who they really are and differences along side their life skill, language, there way of living and there collaboration with other people they know.
